The two reasons people order the extra heads is for multi-use and sanitary needs. It's helpful to keep one head near the toilet to use strictly for toileting and one in the shower (or on the counter top) to use for other hygiene needs. It's also helpful to have an extra head on hand for a second bathroom, for work, a second home, travel etc.

I had major back surgery three months ago and am living with the dreaded "BLT" restrictions: no bending, lifting, or twisting. Using the toilet was a real concern until my physical therapist introduced me to the Freedom Wand. It's been a life saver, but one of the plastic prongs broke off. I've realized that I was overloading it, so I don't put this on the product itself. This was user error and I have modified my technique. I was very happy to find that I could just purchase the head itself and did not have to buy another full kit. Half the cost. Thank you for making this option available, and I hope you continue to do so. I will be using this for many months, and possibly the rest of my life.
